High School: won a few state championships, ran some decent times

College: Ran in some cool meets, ran some fast times, competed as a NCAA Division 1 athlete

Post-College:

1mile: 4:55 (May 23rd 2020 solo time trial) 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to be able to run 16 miles at 6:25 pace at 6,000 feet comfortably again. Maybe run some road races and hop into some track races?

Kidding today! got my arse out the door and ran park loop with barefoot hill strides. 4 total. Felt really good!

used strava's record-from-your-phone feature, seems pretty accurate. Ran park loop and finished with grass loops, the usual. 6:49 avg pace. way faster than i'm used to these days, but felt good!

Ran 3 miles, 2 mile loop with hill strides on grass loops. felt good!

My new watch came today, the Garmin Forerunner 245 Music. It's awesome, I was able to download my playlists from spotify to my watch, so I didn't need to take my phone for music, the watch connected to my headphones. It aso tracks so many things, Vo2 max, tons of different things with heart rate, arterial oxygen saturation, and a ton of other stuff, an exercise science major's dream. 

anyway, ran 3.5 on park loop with grass loops. threw in 2x30 second pickups just to test the quickness of the pace drop with the watch's gps. super accurate! felt good on the run.

ran 4.75 easy, up the canyon and back from mine. 7:05 avg. ran into nate, that was fun to run with an old teammate. i miss those guys.

ran 5 easy today, 7:05 avg. ran from my house to bicent, then looped up through the park and back to my house. nice little loop in the classic cedar city wind. I can really feel myself getting fitter. reminded why i fell madly and hopelessly in love with this sport. improvement you can see. 

i want to do a mile time trial soon, just spike up and go for it. if anyone reads my blog, give me a reasonable date for a time trial and i'll do it lol
