6.6 mile run

* I have been fighting a sinus cold for over a week now. My head finally started feeling better but yesterday I began having massive upper teeth pain. I've had this before and it lasted for weeks. Anyway, I decided to run to the Target in Jordan Landing and see if there was any over the counter meds that would help. I took only my debit card with me. Unfortuantely, the pharmacist said that my best bet would be sudafed, but that she couldn't sell it to me because I didn't have identification. STINK!!!

I guess I should head back, but this time I will drive! :)

Why drive, just pack your purse/wallet along for a second run today. You obviously need the miles!

From Andy on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 13:24:02 from 199.190.170.29

I think they only require identification for the shady looking customers. Make sure you take care of yourself. You have a marathon in a few days.

I just went to Target and bought some sudafed. I love sudafed. It is the only thing that works for sinus colds. My whole family was down yesterday with it. Hopefully you and we will all get feeling better soon.

SSF~ I'm sorry you have sinus infection! Get better soon! No swimming the rest of the week! Get plenty of sleep and fluids. Love you!

Very funny!!!

Andy ~

Your comment made me laugh so so so hard ... too hard ... it hurt my mouth! Stink!!!

Rhett ~

Went and picked up my sudafed. But every hour the pain continued to increase. I finally gave in and went to the Instacare. Glad I did. They put me on an antibiotic and said I should be noticing a big improvement in 72 hours. That'll work perfectly for the race. :)

SSF ~

Why no swimming???

Love and miss you!

From DonGardinero on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:20:59 from 152.216.7.5

Dang Teena, didn't you get sick before UVM, too? Glad the antibiotic will do the trick.

From Teena Marie on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:25:43 from 174.52.45.85

Dale ~

Yep! And UVM was a success. So perhaps, just maybe, this is a good sign!!! :)

But dang my teeth hurt ... I kid you not, they are going to EXPLODE!!!

From Smooth on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:31:07 from 174.23.203.161

SSF ~ Don't you get water in your nose? I just think it might add pressure to the already congested sinus!

LOVE your get-sick-before-race = GREAT race performance strategy! :) :) ;}

From Teena Marie on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:35:55 from 174.52.45.85

SSF ~

Hmmm ... I don't think I get water in my nose. But perhaps you could be right. And ... like I mentioned, the pain has gotten so much worse today. Maybe the swimming wasn't a good idea.

From Kathie on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:45:50 from 63.248.105.188

Sorry you are not feeling well, you would think they would have let you slide after all what kind of drugie could run 6.6 miles? Did you show them your Garmin?

From DonGardinero on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 19:50:52 from 152.216.7.5

Teena....If the meds you are taking now don't work, try Tylenol Sinus. I get a lot of sinus infections during the winter and that always helps relieve the pressure.

SSF ~

The more I think about it, the more I think you are right. I do get water in my ears when my headphones fall out, which they periodically do, but if one is still in I don't stop. Ears, nose, throat ... all go the same place. Dang ... I'll bet you are right.

Kathie ~

You always make me giggle!

Dale ~

Thanks for the info. I will keep that in mind. But please, oh please, let these meds kick in and do their job.

From Tom Slick on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 21:43:59 from 69.171.174.180

Oh great, Teena on drugs for yet another race. Don't volunteer for testing before the race!

From Doone on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 22:48:14 from 74.36.34.151

Aahh- drugs, legal, prescribed, or otc. They are all good. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon. I have serious sinus issues and I totally understand the teeth thing. You feel like they are going to pop out with any serious chewing. Take care and don't swim until you feel better. Going under water, any depth, is a killer on the sinuses when you have an infection.

From Mike Warren on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 09:47:54 from 74.211.9.222

Usually when I feel sick I swim 2 miles and run to wal-mart, it's farther than Target. Why all the slacking:) You are a complete nut case!!! Man, I sure get a kick out of you!

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 13:59:11 from 174.23.203.161

SSF ~ Hope you are feeling better and the endodontist fixed the swelling and infection! I bet you bounce right back just in time for the race like you always do! LOVE and MISS YOU!!!!

From Teena Marie on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 14:43:57 from 174.52.45.85

Slick ~

This is Teena ... this is Teena on drugs.

Doone ~

I just got back from the endodontist. The sinus infection got out of control and leaked into the cavity of where I had a root canal a long time ago. Unfortunately, he had to re-do the whole thing. I am in so much pain right now. Ry just went to pick me up some serious pain meds. I hope they knock me out.

Mike ~

That was WAY stupid of me! Stupid stupid stupid. I am so mad at myself right now!

SSF ~

I hope so too. Miss and love you.
