FUN FUN morning!

Went to the gym with Rylee.

Bike: 9.13 miles (Hills/cascades. 30 min L10, 10 min L20, 5 min cd)

TM Run: 4 miles, recovery pace (low 9s)

Outside Run: 5K with the kids :) :) :)

SO MUCH FUN!!! Livvy was at summer school and was greatly missed. Ry was at work, and was very much missed as well. I stayed with Oliver and Sophers who ended up running it in just over 30 minutes. Rylee and Payton took off the last mile and probably finished about 2 1/2 minutes sooner.

Then we went to breakfast at Jim's. I am super loving this break thing!!! :) :) :)

What is your secret to getting your kids motivated to run? Mine don't show much interest. Sound like you're having a great break!!

Thanks Brooke and Carina!! :)

Carina~ They enjoy running now, but several years ago I noticed that the kids were arguing too much and being too lazy generally. Since I knew running helped me feel better I thought it would help them as well. So we implemented this rule: each child could earn 10 extra minutes to stay up for every mile they ran ... but ... they could only run up to 2 miles every other day (that was when they were younger). We also did slurpee runs (run to 7-11 and you can have a small slurpee). Before we knew it we had a handful of runners (and less arguing)!!! We never force it though, but often offer nice incentives. ;)

That is awesome, I'm going to start doing this, especially this summer with them all home I've noticed them having way too much time on their hands, lots of teasing going on!! You are such a fun mom!!!
