5 minutes warmup on the elliptical to loosen my legs

20.2 miles (mostly with the Chumps - was so glad to get a call from Kathie at 4:50 this morning saying she was on her way, some on my own)

** Ry  had to come and find me to give me more fluids. What a guy! :) It was also fun to finally meet Brent and Sylvie (and their doggy). Was able to run the last mile on grass barefoot (since Ry said he would come and get me from there). LOVED THAT LAST MILE.

Overall, I feel really good about this run. It was not nearly as fast as I would like it to be (eventually) and I did take a couple of breaks, but I got in the miles with only fatigue, no pain. :)

**15 minute icebath ... dang I hate those!!! :)

***********

**Good sign: Just a few hours later and I was able to DDR it up with my oldest and her friend! :) SWEET! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention earlier that I wore the least amount of prewrap and kinesio tapes in about a year. Cool!

Awesome run! Smart Run! I like the attitude of (eventually) getting where you want to be. Brent, convinced me I just had to stay healthy, stay in the game and things would happen. He is a smart man! Keep working Teena, slowly but surely.

Great run and nice ice bath Teena. You hate them but they make you feel so much better don't they?

From allie on Sat, Jul 17, 2010 at 14:46:16 from 174.23.226.74

Thanks all!!!

SSF -- I missed you terribly as well!!! And, of course, I love you, too!! :)

Slick -- NO WAY I am going to run D-News anything. I am finally starting to heal again. No reason to take a risk by running a course with that steep of downhill (even if it is only a couple of miles in the 10K). YOU WILL DO AWESOME!!!!

Mike -- As long as it is before SGM. ;)

Bec -- Absolutely!!!! :) :) :)

From Brent on Sat, Jul 17, 2010 at 18:27:12 from 66.7.127.219

T NA NA, nice to hear you had a very good run, the pace was not important, running pain free in the heat with humidity, was a good workout. Nice to meet you. OK, I will bite, what does chumps mean?

From Kelli on Sun, Jul 18, 2010 at 10:57:35 from 71.219.99.30

Well, little lady! That is a great run. And glad to hear you did not need and entire packages of tape to cover your teeny little legs! VERY GOOD NEWS!!!!

From Teena Marie on Sun, Jul 18, 2010 at 11:31:30 from 174.52.45.85

Jefferey: You are so funny!!!!

Brent: When I first starting running there was a few guys around the neighborhood that took me under their wings (this was about 4 years ago). Anyway ... whenever they would come pick me up and we would run off, Ry (my wonderful hubby) would say, "There go the gump chumps." (He was a Forrest Gump fan, and thought he was being clever.) Before long Gump Chumps just shortened to Chumps. :)

Toby -- THANKS!!! :) :) :)

Kelli -- I know!!! Think about all the money I am going to save!!!! (I'll bet Ry would even buy you a few more icecreams!) :) :) :)

From Kelli on Sun, Jul 18, 2010 at 11:40:12 from 71.219.99.30

The stop buying the tape, heaven knows I need more ice cream!!!!

From Andy on Sun, Jul 18, 2010 at 14:54:42 from 198.60.114.178

Good confidence building run. Don't worry about the pace. It is supposed to be a long SLOW distance run.

From MarcE on Sun, Jul 18, 2010 at 20:42:38 from 204.16.82.120

nice, real nice.
