Still sick (as to be expected) but improving. I still feel very weak but it feels more like lack of calories than being hit by a dump truck. I suppose that is a good transition. Feeling better enough to begin panicking about missing school (which I assume is also a good sign).

I was hoping to wake up feeling well enough to walk a mile or two on the treadmill. Sadly, I don't think that is going to happen for a while, definitely not today.

REST! No thinking about walking or going to school. First get better.

healthy thoughts coming your way...

Keep to the 1 week the doctor instructed you to take. You've already seen what happens when you push it too far. Sometimes, being a tough runner means forcing yourself to rest. Now is not the time to wimp out :) Besides, a week off from running won't make you any slower.

Rhett, Tim, and DL~

I don't think I am tough enough this time to exercise even if I really really really wanted to.

Thank you for the reminders of the need to be rational and the healing thoughts. I do not want to ever feel this way again. But then again, nobody does.

I will follow the doctor's orders.

(But I do have to take my physics test this Friday. Hoping I will feel much better by then. Ry said if needed he would drive me there and wait for me to get done.)

I'm glad you are feeling better, but please be cautious.

From Smooth on Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 14:34:48 from 67.2.117.33

SSF ~ Do you have an appetite? Can I bring you food? You need rest and good healing comfy food...some brain food would help with the Physics test too! :)

Take the time to recover, but I know sometimes after sitting around sick a good walk - even just a 'wander' outside feels SO good!

Yikes! Phenomena can be very serious. Thank goodness you are improving. I know nothing but I think walking on the treadmill might have been a mistake.

Paul~

I will, or at least, I am really trying. Right now I am pretty much confined to my bed.

SSF~

I am presently working on a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy. I don't have much of an appetite. But I think it is more psychological than anything. I know that you would be here in a wink if I'd give you the word, but I promise, I am okay. Really, I am doing better each day. Ry and my parents have been taking very good care of me. Thank you for being the best SSF ever. I love you. :)

Rachel~

Hopefully in not too long. :)

Fly~

I think you going on your trip jinxed our Thursday runs. The doctor lectured me about having asthma and not getting my flu shot (we were out of town when they did them at Ry's work and I never went in on my own). I don't know if that really has anything to do with this little episode I am having, but I will never fail to get my shot again.

From Smooth on Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 15:13:07 from 67.2.117.33

SSF ~ Mashed potato and gravy is not brain food! :). What else do you have that you don't need to cook? I am only 20 min away!

Everyone in my household has taken the flu shots and they are all sick...not as bad as you since they don't have asthma! Pneumonia really wipes you out! Please let us take care of you! :)

From Teena Marie on Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 18:05:39 from 67.2.126.2

SSF~

Mashed potatoes and gravy are very much a comfort food for me. Brain food? Maybe not, but at least I was eating. :)

Truly, I feel like I am getting better by the hour. I have eaten more, drunken more and rested much more peacefully today. :)

Really, all I need is a little time to get my lungs working well and my energy back. I am definitely on the mend (even put a little bit of makeup on today). :)

You really are so thoughtful and I appreciate everything you do and continue to do for me.

(I promise, I am okay. :))

Wow, Teena!!! I had no idea you were so sick. I didn't have a chance to check the blog for a few days.

I hope you start to feel better very soon.
