Yesterday I felt a tweak in my leg when I was playing a little frisbee trying to relax before the final. I was worried about my run today so decided to sleep in and do it on the treadmill (that way I could hop off whenever and finish my time on the elliptical).

I was pleasantly surprised. Not one peep from the sweet thing! :)

20 miles, AP 8:26. I was so happy with my leg that I didn't even mind being on the treadmill for that long. :)

It still doesn't feel as strong as it should, so I will continue to only run 3 to 4 days a week and no speedwork through August.

My two week break between semesters is finally here!!!

YAHOO, BABY!!! :) :) :)

I am trying real hard to not say: didn't I tell you your leg will be fine? :) I am happy you got to sleep in and run in a controlled environment. :)

Miss you terribly! Enjoy your two weeks break! You have worked hard and juggled so much so awesomely well! See you at PC or soon?

Yes, your short term sacrifice is already showing immediate reward in your EXCELLENT grades!

Brent~

It actually wasn't too bad! :) And yes, I did have some good tunes! :) :) :)

SSF~

You were right. Now the real trick will be seeing how it feels tomorrow. :) So ... what's our plan for Wednesday?

From Smooth on Sun, Aug 07, 2011 at 17:49:23 from 67.2.98.112

How's the leg? I suspect it is great! Are you caught up on sleep yet? How about eating? It's tough to observe Fast Sunday the day after a 20 miler, and you ran 22 last Sat prior to a stressful week!

I think Wed is the day the construction guy is going to do demolition and I have to monitor that he doesn't destroy the things that aren't supposed to be. Kinda play it by ear from day to day with the remodeling. But, hopefully I should be able to come celebrate your successful 1st semester...PLAY time!!! :)

way to keep it all in prospective. Keep running "Smart".

SSF~

Sadly, my leg was quite sore this morning. I downed some ibuprofen and that has helped. Can you do lunch on Wednesday? What time are the construction people supposed to be done? Love you.

Slick~

Thanks. :) I just wish I would feel 100%! Don't we all? :)

From Tom Slick on Sun, Aug 07, 2011 at 19:26:44 from 69.171.160.95

Hey Gumps, just keep doing the "smart" thing and you will be back to 100%, soon!!!!

What is your next race, God willing and the creeks don't rise!

I'm heading to San Diego this Friday and returning home just in time for PC. :)

You are doing both Crazy Curt's race and PCM, right?

From Smooth on Sun, Aug 07, 2011 at 20:52:42 from 67.2.98.112

Dang it!! is it good kind or bad kind of sore? You know the kind that I am talking about? General tiredness and the usual tightness post long run!

This week our main contractor is on vacation so it is just one guy coming to finish framing the outside walls and doing the demolition of the bathroom and inside walls. Larry wants me to supervise him because there are things that we are keeping such as the window, shutter and toilet. It'd cost more money and time if he messes up. He usually comes at 8:30 take a 30

min lunch break and work till about 4:30. I think I can do lunch!

From Teena Marie on Sun, Aug 07, 2011 at 22:45:16 from 67.2.120.31

It's not too bad. Very similar to what I experienced after the 22 miles last Saturday. I know it is inflammation. That is the problem with that lower left leg. Any time anything gets even a little bit hurt down there it causes havoc. I should have just had the anterior compartment release years ago, but I didn't want to! (Still don't want to.)

Andy and Kathie both said they could do lunch on Wednesday, if you can. :)

Wow, 20 miles on the treadmill, good job girlie!! I'm so glad it felt good, hopefully the inflammation goes down soon. And I'm so glad you're off school right now! I know it's not very long, but I hope you have a really fun time. :) Have fun in San Diego! :)
