Went out to Antelope Island for a training run with some people who are doing the race. I started out feeling pretty good but then totally tanked the last 6 miles. I averaged 9:30 miles for the 19 miles. I just wasn't feeling strong at all and wanted to walk a few times.

I'm really glad to have run out there because now I have a more realistic expectation on what kind of pace I can run on that surface. I was thinking I could do a little faster today than I did. So that's good information to have. The island is absolutely gorgeous, and the weather was beautiful this morning.

52 miles for the week. Not as many as I planned, but oh well. Other things to do.

Good job Steve, sounds like it was a good training run, now you know a little more about the course. I am so sore from my race yesterday.

Live and learn my friend. Good job.
