I started out on a great trail here in Ladera Ranch. Nicely groomed and great views. About 1.5 miles into it, I came across a large rattlesnake right in the middle of the trail that I almost stepped on. It scared the heebeegeebees out of me, and as soon as I saw it I turned around and ran as fast as I could the other way. It shook its rattle at me. Then I went to the comfort of the roads and actually had a nice workout with some hill repeats. 6.4 miles. Average pace was 7:07.

My biggest fear when out running snakes. You guys on a little vacation?

Hi Derunzo, nice to meet you.

Dustin, we took a last-minute trip down to CA. It's been a nice break, even though I still am working on school stuff some of the days.

Don't worry Steve. I'm laughing with you. Unless you're not laughing at yourself. In which case, I'm just laughing at you.
