I was wondering what happened. I have had plenty of those, but hey at least you finished and there is always another one. Thats what people always tell me and it doesn't make me feel any better either. sorry to heat it.

Hey Steve- Dare I ask what happened? Sorry the day didn't turn out like you wanted! At least business was good at the expo?

From Toby on Tue, Oct 09, 2007 at 21:05:59

Steve it was nice to chat with you during the marathon which is something I am not acustomed to, I am sure you will redeem yourself at the next race, just make sure you are not on your feet for 12 hours before, take care.

Thanks for the singlet and shoes. Sorry you had a crappy race, you have a good one coming soon. Good luck with your store, family, and running.

Hey Steve

I'm sorry the race didn't turn out like planned. I thought we were moving ok through the first 7 or 8 miles. It didn't really show that you weren't feeling that great.

Anyway, I know you're upset with how your race turned out, but I really want to thank you for all that you have done to help the rest of us. Without your support and encouragement I don't know if we would have the strong running club that we do. I know Clyde and Dave are the fast guys and kind of the leaders on most of the runs, but you do so much to get everything organized and put together, thanks.

I'm glad you guys had a successful time at the expo and the store is doing good. I think once you guys get into your house maybe things will slow down a little and your training can pick back up again. Don't get to down on yourself, you've had some really good races this year. We just have to keep training and working to get better.

Thanks for all the encouragement on my race Saturday. I new by mile 7 that I was having problems but tried to ignore them and see if it would pass, however I just got worse. Dustin, that's why I said I was OK when we got to the top of Veyo.

I think my bad race was due to spending so much time on the concrete floor at the expo and bending down for 12+ hours. I also had only received 9 hours of sleep for the last 2 1/2 day before the race.

I'm playing around with the idea of going to Tucson Marathon in Dec.

Sorry to hear about your race!! I am entertaining thoughts of going to Tucscon too.

From wildbull on Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 17:44:29

sounds like a race!

I feel for you. Not enough sleep and standing around all day the day before the marathon, I'm sure that's what did it. Such is the life of the business man.

Great job on finishing. I don't know that I could take that kind of pain.
