About 15 min. into the run started to feel pain in my knee again. I'm thinking I'm going to have to breakdown and get some custom orthotics. Back in High School I remembered having this same injury and it took me forever to get over it.

It wasn't until I got custom orthotics that the problem went away. I went through a couple pairs of orthotics up to the time I went on an LDS Mission. When I got back from my mission and ran for UVSC I still wore the old pair I had from before my mission and I had no problem with my IT Band. The orthotics finally broke and I didn't get a new pair. However, by then I was getting massages once a week which took care of any issues.

So, I think I'm going to need to break down and get a new set of custom orthotics.

I'm just glad to see your posting something on here. Just run nice and easy, get some orthotics, and maybe get a shot of cortazon or what ever it is. We need you competing with the club.

I have never used orthotics, but I know they have helped lots of people. Probably would be a good idea to look into another pair. Even though it might be a little money up front it will probably save time and money down the road. I just bought two pair of shoes this past weekend, hoping to rotate them like we were talking and reduce the chance of injury.

If you're running two-a-days it's a smart move investing into atleast to pairs of shoes for rotation.

I have an appt. set for Thurs. with a podiatrist. I called around to a few guys here in St. George and finally found one that was a runner. Luckly he's the best price as well.
