My legs felt pretty fresh today after 2 days off. I wasn't planning on 2 days off, but I was awake most of the night yesterday trying to get Harry Batdini out of the house. We have had bats in our house before, but this one was particularly elusive and smart. I didn't want to run with only 2 hours of sleep.

The run today was good. It was a little cooler today than recently but still incredibly humid with dew point temperatures in the lower 70s. The legs felt fine.

Today was an interesting run. I started off on my Walgreens-Wabash loop and noticed some dark storm clouds to the east. Storms generally go from west to east following the prevailing winds in the mid-latitudes, so I figured I would be okay. It was actually moving west, and I got stuck in a downpour. I cut my route short, but I still got completely wet. After a short 15-20 minute break standing outside under the porch and wringing the water out of my clothes, I ran my elementary school loop for a total of 6.2 for the day.

It was a super hot and humid early evening run on my elementary shool loop plus.

Another scorcher today. I ran in the morning before it got too hot. It was supposed to be in the 90s later in the day. I ran 0.3 with my 2 youngest. Izzie fell near the end on some uneven sidewalk, so we walked about a block home. I then did my Walgreens-Wabash loop plus some more at the end to make it 5 total.

It was stormy off and on most of the day. It looked like it was going to be clear for a run when I looked out the back. I got dressed and headed out, but when I went around to the front of the house, a storm was coming. I almost went anyway, but I'm glad I didn't. It turned out to be a pretty nasty storm. I didn't get the chance to go later because the sun was already setting.
