Utah Valley Marathon 2013: PR 3:16:20, 1st division.

Running With the Bulls 5k 2011: 20:02, 1st place

Race For The Cure 10k, San Antonio 2013: 42:47, 2nd overall

Short-Term Running Goals:

Run a sub 3:20 @ Air Force Marathon 2015.

Sub 20 min 5k

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run a 3(ish) hour marathon before I am 40.

I might as well face it. I will never become any faster. My pace has stayed the same for years. Under 8 mm for this. I just feel there is nothing I can do at this point to improve.

It is so hard to bring the times down at a certain point. You have a great deal of experience under your belt, and have proven your excellence in the running world.

Sometimes I think about our fearless blog leader's approach to running: 10 miles a day, 6 days a week. I've never taken it that far, but I really don't have time to spend dreading, completing and recovering from 60 miles per week. Other things are also important, even more important.

Thanks Kam, I needed to read that. My husband and I are in the same boat and we are mentally exhausted from trying to keep improving in times and mental toughness.

Yes, other things are more important than running 60 miles a week. :)
