For the most part, I feel really safe running on the Air Force base that I live on.  We are about five miles from the border of Mexico.  I have heard that there have been illegals on the base because they see the lights and the water tower and they think they are in Del Rio.  My husband has been asked by Border Patrol as he was running on base if he had seen illegals on his route.

Yesterday there were 132 inmates that escaped from a prison in Mexico about 50 miles away from where we live.  I get nervous about running in the dark at 6 in the morning.  The most frightening things I have seen on base are  snakes and skunks.  If I encountered illegals, I might pee my pants and run as fast as I can.  Anyway, just blogging my thoughts.

Temps are falling a little and it finally feels pretty good here in the morning. I miss you, a run with you would be great! A LONG run a very long run.

I have thought about you with all that is going on...very scary. Glad it is cooling off there! We were on our way and then the temps shot right back up again.
