15 miles in the Rio.  Very warm and humid out, BUT I was blessed with a breezy wind.  Yes, this was that wind that I have complained about during some of my earlier runs, not today.

8 miles alone on the sleeping base.  I saw snake #1 as I headed out from the West gate, it made me about cry.  I HATE snakes.  I saw snake #2 as I headed toward the West gate the second time.  I screamed and ran away as fast as I could.  Both snakes were very long (3 feet), and they were black.

I found 5 golf balls on my way home as I ran past the golf course and picked up three to add to David and I's golf ball collection.  We have now found 10 golf balls total for our collection.

I went back to the house and got David.  We ran the next 7 miles together.   We saw snake #3 by the poop pound.  :(

I was proud that I had actually picked up the pace and I didn't complain. I enjoyed listening to David talk about T-38s (the new jet he will be flying).

I'm glad you got a GOOD run in! When I read about the snakes I thought about when we saw that skunk on the JRP. I totally would've done the same thing - I HATE HATE HATE snakes!!! :)

Have I said how awesome it is that David is flying t-38's? He is awesome sauce :) Still think he should do cargo planes, but I guess if he wants to be cool...

Ughhhh...I HATE snakes. We have a lot of them in our yard. I always get them with the lawn mower. Nice run :)

Thanks RAD and Toby. It did feel good to finally get a good running WEEK in. :)

RAD, Oh I remember that skunk! There are so many skunks around here and now I have discovered so many snakes. Darn Texas stick land! I am now frightened to gallivant around in my own neighborhood.
