Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!) Short-Term Running Goals: Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon. It was another good walk this morning and warmer than it has been. I actually had to take my sweat shirt off. 4 days until I get to run!!!!!!!!!
Knee feels good!! The true test is thursday. I will start counting hours soon. (or not). | | Add Comment |
| | Walking with my daughter. Itching to run, BAD!!! Pushing her in the jogging stroller, I just want to start running, and that is hard. Soon, I can run though. We took my brothers dog and had a good brisk walk. My knee is feeling very good. No discomfort. I am very pleased with that!! | | Add Comment |
| | Good walk with my mom this morning and again, pushing my daughter in the jogging stroller. I think I will give my knee an extra day or two and wait until saturday to run. Not sure, but I will run this week and that makes me happy!! Hopefully everything will be fine. | | Comments(2) |

Walking again. I want to run so bad!! Walking today, I am nervous about running, it's not that my knee hurt, it just doesn't seem right. That is not good. I have been quite moody since I haven't ran and I want to eat everything. I HATE IT!!!!
Anyway, BLAH, and I will walk again tomorrow and then decide if I am going to run on saturday or not. The doc said 2 weeks, it has been 2 weeks. I think I hold off much longer I will explode. (Not good, again!!!) | | Add Comment |
| | I walked the first 2 miles, with my daughter in the jogging stroller. I felt pretty good, so I ran. My daughter kept saying "Yeah, mommy, see you can run again." It was very encouraging. I went about 3/4 mile and my knee felt awkward. No pain, but I quit. I don't want to hurt it again, so I will ease back in to running. That is hard for me, but at least for now I can say I have run again, and know I will again. I just want to be smart about it. That is something very new to me, so we will see how that goes. | | Add Comment |
