This was my first half and I felt really, really good!!  At every mile marker I would think, "another mile already".  Not that I was going all that fast or anything, I just felt good.  My dad ran the 5K and then came back and met me at about mile 8.5.  He runs faster than me so for the last 4 miles or so he pushed me.  Up until that point I was just running at a very comfortable pace and not pushing it at all.  I am glad he motivated me and it felt amazing to finish that much stronger.  I am very happy with my time.  All week I have been thinking if I finish in under 2:30, I will be happy, so I am very stoked with my time!!

Glad to be running and glad to have my first 1/2 under my belt.

You have great reason to be stoked! Very good race! When you come in 25 minutes before what you "hoped" to come in at, that is something to cheer about! I hope you relish the great feeling all day and all week long! Good job!

Great job! Wow, you must be really fit to feel this good after your very first half. Congratulations! What an amazing time, too! This is not an easy course.

And just so I can be consistent...how 'bout changing that name?

CONGRATS! You should be very proud of yourself, feeling the miles fly by is a great sign that you are in top shape!

Thanks for the comments. I am way stoked and have some great motivation now to push myself to improve each run.

As the day moves on, my legs are feeling it and tomorrow I am sure I will just be loving it. Like I said before, I did and do feel amazing and definately better than I would have ever dreamed.

Thanks again for the comments.

Congratulations on a wonderful time in your first half! And clearly your mental preparedness is in good shape as you were not dreading each mile as you ran. Good work all around.

Thats the first and last time I will hear that from you Jill!! Huh!?

I feel good about all of it and having each mile go so fast just amazed me. I kept expecting it to be different, but then every mile would be there again. It was awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better first.

Thanks guys!!!

Slowpoke, 200 commando points for the PR and huge improvement over the last few months. I really don't think you are slowpoke, time for a new handle.

I am quite happy with my improvement. I love to be running and I like my name. Compared to alot of people, I am slow, that doesn't mean I am not feeling good about my running.

Thanks for the ideas though!!
