33F, 7:17 AP.  5 easy, then 3 @ MP.  Felt ok, not too bad.

Plan for the race is to run conservatively, at least initially, but stay within striking distance of sub-3.  Hopefully by halfway, I will know if it's going to be my day or not.  I haven't had a single run that really indicates to me that I am ready for sub-3, but you never know...

That's a good plan - stay w/in striking distance of the goal, but don't risk blowing up early.

You never know!!

From allie on Wed, Nov 14, 2012 at 14:22:38 from 161.38.218.168

you'll get it.

From Jason D on Wed, Nov 14, 2012 at 14:23:34 from 24.1.80.94

Good plan, Joe. The reverse can happen (indications say yes, race says no), so why not the opposite? I'm set up for tracking, so be aware you are being watched!

also, be on the lookout for spiderman woman.

Good luck slowjoe!

Jake - definitely going for comfort this time... you know, until I change my mind and gameplan mid-race

Jason - I'll run extra fast for you. usually i'm surprised about how slow I am going, so it would be nice to get the opposite surprise.

allie - I've been outrun by all kinds of men, women and children, but this will be the first spiderwoman. at least she won't be pushing a stroller while in the costume.

acorn - thanks man!

That's the race plan that I usually try to follow as well. I like it!

From derhammer on Thu, Nov 15, 2012 at 09:14:45 from 64.245.52.2

The weather looks OK - prob high 40's to start - and it looks like there will be cloud cover - a huge bonus.

What's the course like?

From SlowJoe on Thu, Nov 15, 2012 at 11:06:23 from 155.219.241.10

Rye - fun is the key word...not sure there's enough "magic" out there for me

Ken - beats my usual plan of running too hard and being miserable later

April - just stop watching at about 20 miles, ok?

dh - definitely looks cool enough, although seems to be getting more windy everytime I look. the course is basically 2 different loops - looks moderately hilly, but not too bad. lots of twists and turns. Although you never can tell hilliness very well from those charts anyway.

By the way, I just ate at Whataburger for lunch, and my number was 26. So maybe I will be ok.
