No cardio today.  That stupid elliptical machine gave me some super soreness in my calves to the point where I'm walking funny with calf pain.  Never got the least bit sore in my quads.  I'm sure I was doing the machine all wrong and favoring my hip because it's my left calf; I probably was unconsciously making it do all the work.  I don't really have time for anything today anyway so I'll try maybe the stationaly bike, cycle, whatever it's called on Monday.  Have a nice weekend all!

I did the stupid elliptical earlier this week & ended up with calf soreness as well! I just made the connection when I saw your entry. My solution: stick with running, steer clear of stupid machines :)

I agree. Those machines make me feel so uncoordinated. I am afraid I'm going to fall on my face!

Joe, funny about the elliptical, I hated it but didn't have any negative effects other than a little stiffness in some new muscles. I think every machine is a little different. I agree with Missee, though, the motion feels awkward, I have to use considerable arm strength just to hang on.

Hmm, I was just barely touching the handles - definitely didn't use arm strength. Now I'm sure I was doing it wrong. I agree with y'all on the awkwardness of it; hopefully I can do some real running soon.
