AM:

We did the cemetery run. I tried to stick with Natalie and Tomy. We weren't going too fast, but then we apparently picked it up to 7:10 pace, so when I thought I was just crashing we were actually going faster. I think mentally I just lost it, it was hard for me to keep going. I was crashing really bad when I fell off of them. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to keep up again.

So I stayed at my grandmas last night, couldn't find a ride, then lost my phone this morning right after I woke up, so I really had no means of communication. I was really disappointed too because today was pipeline and I love pipeline. :( I was going to do about 10, but I had to cut it short because of work. I actually stay active for at least 3 hours at my job, we play games with the kids like capture the flag and tag and such, and we ice skate and swim. So it's not like it's a complete waste of time. And I get paid to do it! I love it there, even though sometimes they are out of control, like today.

Anyway, I went from my grandmas house down 13th to 13th and then went to south temple and had planned to do the avenues run without striding up the hills just running, but then I looked at the time and knew there was no way I would be able to, it was farther than I thought to get to south temple. So When I got to 4th avenue I turned and went to T street then back to south temple and went back the same way. I got 7 in. I really am disappointed I couldn't go to pipeline, I'm not a slacker. I really wanted to go.

Today we went to sunnyside. We went down to the track and did a grass lap, and then did 8 X strides across the field. After that we did 10 hill strides. I felt like I did pretty well on those, a change from the beginning of track season where I felt terrible whenever we did those. Then we did another grass lap and went up to sunnyside again and finished to 6. On the cool down part I didn't feel good anymore. Then went to Youth Conference!

In Goblin Valley it was 108 degrees. Not cool. Of course when we go down there, there has to be a heat wave. We did a hike today in the heat, and I think it's safe to count it as mileage. It's way too hot for me. My legs are so sore and I don't know why. They were sore before the hike so it's not from that.

I'm sorry guys, I didn't run today :( We came home from goblin valley and stopped in price for a while, there was a wave pool, which was really nice. I wanted to run, but when I was ready to go my dad stopped me and told me that I couldn't run in the dark alone, so I started to call people, and those that did pick up couldn't come. :(

AM:

It is way too hot. I was so exhausted from youth conference last night, and I slept in until 12:15, which wasn't planned. I was hoping to get up early enough to beat the heat and then take a nap afterward. I decided to just go running anyway. By the end I felt so gross and sweaty, it was like I had just gotten out of the pool and air dried a bit. I felt great at the beginning, but as it went on and I really started to get a feel of how hot it was, I felt crappy.

PM:

I ran to the track and met Patrick, then did shriner's run. It was a nice run.
