today we ran four miles. we ran from sugarhouse park to fairmont, and then did 8 strides. by the last one I felt like I didn't want to run anymore. However, I did make it all the way back to sugarhouse park. When I was reminded of the circuit we had to do, I didn't want to do any of it. But I knew I had to, and so I put my best efforts into it. the circuit was super tiring, and by the end I could barely walk. The nice lady in charge (sorry! I am trying to learn names!) had to ask if I was okay, and that just kinda shows how tired I was. I think I'm still going to stick with the team though.

So, today I ran 4 miles. The warmup was 1 1/2 laps around the gully that is near it. I then did these arm things that were supposed to help. By the end I cuold feel a small burn. Then ran the Fartlek at Sunnyside Park, and by the end I felt horrible. These nice boys had told me to keep going and to try to keep up with them, and I think it was because of them I was able to finish. After that we ran a big lap around the park. I really felt out of shape and hope to improve. I am glad I am doing the Cross Country team at East because I know I will get loads better.

Today we ran at Liberty Park. I ran a lap around following the wood chip path. In the middle of it I felt really worn out, and I eventually started to slow down, and I couldn't keep up with the people up front. Everybody kept passing me, and I thought for sure I was in the back. Towards the end, I was starting to get my strength back, and I picked up my pace and finally finished. I stretched with the group, and was glad to find out I was NOT at the back. Then we went over to do a hill thing by the pond. We had to run up the hill, across the top, and back down the other side, around the flag pole wall, and back up, across, and down the hill. We had to do it 6 times. I was actually expecting this to be super hard, but it wasn't quite as hard as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong- it was pretty difficult, but with the older people pushing me, I really put my best efforts into it. I am pleased to say that I never walked through it once. after that I ran another lap around the park, again following the wood chip trail. Towards the middle I got confused seeing the advanced people coming from the other direction, but then I remembered they were doing something else. One day, I hope to become one of those Advanced people. When I got home, Though a little later in the day, I did my core stuff.
