Today we went to Liberty and did a 5k!! I got there way early. I did 3.75 warmup.

I started fast. My first mile was 5:40. There were 3 guys that were right there, so I just tried to stick on them. On the last mile I felt like I crashed but I didn't slow down as much as I thought. The race was long, and I was running on the short side of the sidewalk! If this was just a 3 mile race I would've PR'd, my 3 mile split was 19:07. I PR'd for a 5k too, even though it was long!

I did 2.25 cool down.

Because of the rain we decided to go to the oval. We did 8 miles. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I tried to stay with Tomy, I was able to for more than half of it, but then I fell off and then crashed really bad. I should've just stayed with him, it would've been easier for me. But at least he didn't have to hang back for me to keep up.

While Tomy and Chris were warming up for speed, we did 2 miles on the track, then waited for them to finish their speed, and went for a run. We went up to guardsman and over to the cemetery and did a lap, then went back to the track along 13th. It ended up being only 3 miles, so we added a lot at the track

I ran from my house to sugarhouse, then ran 2 laps with Megan and another one by myself. Nice and easy run. Then went to the awards night thing for track!

4.25, some of it with Megan

PM:

Today we went up to the zoo trail, then along there until we got to red butte, then went to popperton and took shriners run back. When we were on the trail I lost contact with Tomy and Chris, then had a really hard time on the hills. I need to work on them. After red butte, I really did bad. The hills were getting to my mind, I've never really been good at them. When I got to popperton, I decided to try and catch Bill and Dakota, I could see them, but they were pretty far ahead. I eventually did catch them when we were in the alley. When we got back to the track, Bill and I did a grass lap. 10 miles.

AM:

Today we did another 5k! I warmed up with Megan for 1.5.

I left my watch on my couch at home, so I wasn't able to get any splits :( I got out good, but then I was worried I got out too fast because I was up there in the top 3. When I got tired I just focused on the guy in front of me and tried to push up to him. When we were coming back from the neighborhood I had closed a lot of the gap. Then came another guy going pretty fast, I tried to match but then gave up after a bit, I shouldn't have, but at least I've learned. Then the guy I was closing the gap on went straight instead of turning where the signs said to turn, I was confused about that but whatever, I followed the second guy who followed the signs. Then not even a minute later that guy turned up the sidewalk instead of going straight, there weren't signs this time just balloons, I slowed down there because I could've sworn we were supposed to go straight and he confused me. Then luckily Bill yelled from behind me to go straight. I knew then that, like I thought before, we were close to the finish so I tried to kick. I got 19:54. I took 2nd to Chris, but those other guys probably would've beat me. But then again I don't know if they were doing the 5k or 10k. First girl to finish though!

I have mixed feelings about this race, it was good but not what I wanted. But I prepared less for this race than I did for the one on monday. I didn't get enough sleep, I don't know why but I just couldn't get to sleep last night. And I did literally nothing to prepare last night. So I feel like I could do much better if I would prepare well for races. Plus, I was really tired yesterday from the run.

I did 2 miles cool down with the group.

PM:

I was able to squeeze in 3.5 miles.
