AM:

Today we did another 5k! I warmed up with Megan for 1.5.

I left my watch on my couch at home, so I wasn't able to get any splits :( I got out good, but then I was worried I got out too fast because I was up there in the top 3. When I got tired I just focused on the guy in front of me and tried to push up to him. When we were coming back from the neighborhood I had closed a lot of the gap. Then came another guy going pretty fast, I tried to match but then gave up after a bit, I shouldn't have, but at least I've learned. Then the guy I was closing the gap on went straight instead of turning where the signs said to turn, I was confused about that but whatever, I followed the second guy who followed the signs. Then not even a minute later that guy turned up the sidewalk instead of going straight, there weren't signs this time just balloons, I slowed down there because I could've sworn we were supposed to go straight and he confused me. Then luckily Bill yelled from behind me to go straight. I knew then that, like I thought before, we were close to the finish so I tried to kick. I got 19:54. I took 2nd to Chris, but those other guys probably would've beat me. But then again I don't know if they were doing the 5k or 10k. First girl to finish though!

I have mixed feelings about this race, it was good but not what I wanted. But I prepared less for this race than I did for the one on monday. I didn't get enough sleep, I don't know why but I just couldn't get to sleep last night. And I did literally nothing to prepare last night. So I feel like I could do much better if I would prepare well for races. Plus, I was really tired yesterday from the run.

I did 2 miles cool down with the group.

PM:

I was able to squeeze in 3.5 miles.
