Meet at Woods Cross. I was scheduled for the 1600, 800, and 400, but we all scratched from the 1600, so in place of that I ran the 4x400m relay. Team warmup of 1 lap and stretching, then I did 3 laps with Dominique. I ran 2 laps with Grace after, and then it was time for the 800.

I tried to get into good position, and got out kinda fast. I think I was 4th for the whole first lap. 77 I believe. Then for the 2nd lap I tried to focus on getting on my toes and working my arms a bit. Apparently I don't have good arms. Will be working more with my arm swings. Bill told me to start moving with 300 to go, and I tried to. 150 to go I really tried to kick, but didn't actually happen until like 100 to go. My kick is kinda weak, and others have super strong ones, and some girl behind me had a super strong one. I just wish I would have gone with her....oh well.

Then I raced the 400 next. Not my race... definitely. I was in the 2nd heat, lane 3. I don't like lanes. I got out hard, and I just tried to maintain the pace. I think I slowed down a bit. But the last 100 I really pushed and used my arms, and I think I did pretty well.

Then I ran 2 miles in between the 4x4 and the 4. I'm counting drills and strides as a quarter mile. Oh, and handoffs.

Then came 4x400. I went last in my group. We did pretty good I think, considering. We were B team. Ha we had like 4 teams. Well, I just tried to finish strong. there was a girl from another school, I think WX, who cut me off with 200 to go, when I was trying not to let her get in front of me. Nearly fell, made me a little mad. I don't think it looked like she cut me off, but she did, enough for me to slow down a bit and then start up again. That's really angering. Whatever.

Then I did more cool down to get to 5 1/2. Looks like high mileage the next couple days. :(

Good Job today Sarah! you had an awesome 800 and a way good 4x4 and 400. I agree with Bill, you do need to work on your arms a bit but other than that your form is great! Good Job!
