Today we ran at Liberty Park. I ran a lap around following the wood chip path. In the middle of it I felt really worn out, and I eventually started to slow down, and I couldn't keep up with the people up front. Everybody kept passing me, and I thought for sure I was in the back. Towards the end, I was starting to get my strength back, and I picked up my pace and finally finished. I stretched with the group, and was glad to find out I was NOT at the back. Then we went over to do a hill thing by the pond. We had to run up the hill, across the top, and back down the other side, around the flag pole wall, and back up, across, and down the hill. We had to do it 6 times. I was actually expecting this to be super hard, but it wasn't quite as hard as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong- it was pretty difficult, but with the older people pushing me, I really put my best efforts into it. I am pleased to say that I never walked through it once. after that I ran another lap around the park, again following the wood chip trail. Towards the middle I got confused seeing the advanced people coming from the other direction, but then I remembered they were doing something else. One day, I hope to become one of those Advanced people. When I got home, Though a little later in the day, I did my core stuff.

Sounds like you are a fighter and that is what it sometimes takes. You will be great and I am so glad you decided to run on the XC team. Just reading your last three entries shows you will be one of our best this year. Keep it going, I think you will like some of the stuff we do next week. See you Monday. Make sure you get your runs in the rest of the week:)

Great job, I loved reading your entries. Keep up the good work, you already have a strong mindset so the physical strength will come with continued effort and practice :)
