Today was Pineview! After a long car ride and going to Walmart, we arrived and found out that they were doing the seeded girls first, then seeded boys, then the rest of girls and then the rest of boys. So that meant I didn't have as much time as I would've liked to warmup. Emmaline and I did a mile warmup, then I had to do strides after getting confused about the bull pen... my hip was bothering me a bit.

It was my first race being in the seeded heat! It intimidated me a bit. But it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, sure I was towards the back of the pack but I wasn't dead last :) I got an okay start, there was a lot of pushing and shoving. The first lap felt alright, then I felt really sick to my stomach. I think I ate too much at Wendy's. At least I can learn from it. The third lap I just tried to push and not slow down too much, then the 4th I just gave what I could. I sort of slowed down the last 200 which I regret a lot, I could've gotten a better time. I just need to work on my kick, I think I just have a hard time accepting that it's gonna hurt, and it's time for that to change.

I didn't feel my hip at all during the race which is good :)

Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with this race, I wanted to qualify for state, if not at least get close. But I PR'd, and I guess I should be happy about that.

Then I did a mile cool down on my own, then later went on a group run with the team. We did 6 miles. My hip started hurting on the last mile, so I iced it, and my knee hurt a bit when I stopped so I iced that too.
