Triathlons are my New sport and I LOVE IT

Recent last few years  as I havent done much since I was 16/17yrs, on and off injuries, going out with Friends started. Operations on injuries- compartment syndrome front of the shin had small operation to release the pressure on the fascia.

Oct 2007.  Did the great north run.  ( I was in the elite ladies race, against Kara Goucher and Paula Radcliffe, Im sure u Americans will recall that race).

I was just in on my previous times from the Bath Half Marathon. I ran it as best as I could off my training & circumstances...

Decided to do my 1st Marathon with London looming in the following April I was in the ladies Elite race again.  So the training was on.  I realise now I didnt give my body enough time to recover as it did break down in the last 5 weeks of my training. Injury bound, with calf and hamstring problems I raced!

London Marathon, April 08 (Injury calf issues) 1st marathon  3hrs.12mins .30 secs

Dublin Marathon  Oct 08  3hrs.01mins.13  undulating and 1 toilet stuck/stop (LOL)

Bath Half 2007    1.26.35 hrs

Wilmslow half marathon english champs    1.25.39

18th lady  (With piriformis injury ).

Liverpool 10k 2008 Oct 37.42mins midst marathon training

Wirral 5k 2009 17.41mins off the back off marathon week

Track 3000ms 10.45mins  hmmm I ran this to get points for my club so I just did tactical and ran on 1st lady shoulder and sprinted at the end !

6.30am gym, Yawn.  Its really getting to me now I am on a xtrainer and others are on the treadmill ahhhhh!

My competitive streak is still there though, People come and go on the xtrainer next to me, Why ? I dont know theres like 10 xtrainers and they get on the one next to me  and try so hard to keep up with me :) he he but I just keep going.

I am a women of consistency,  I like my days well planned organised, but

 How weird is this

Casper rides the 10.55am service in Plymouth, southwest England, for its entire 17km journey before returning home about an hour later.

The 12-year-old pet has become such a fixture of daily travel that all the bus drivers on the route have been told to make sure it does not miss its stop.

Casper's owner Susan Finden said she was stunned when she first learned about the cat's daily jaunt.

"Casper has always disappeared for hours at a time but I never understood where he was going," she told Britain's Telegraph newspaper.

"I called him Casper because he had a habit of vanishing like a ghost — but then some of the drivers told me he had been catching the bus."

Casper likes to sit on the back seat, she said.

Ms Finden, 65, said the cat probably got the idea by watching other passengers at a bus stop outside her home.

x trainer first 30 mins did reps, but I really felt it from the big session I did yesterday, did 3 x 5 mins reps real hard upto level 10.

then did a reasonably hard 30mins at level 7 last 15mins at level 6 and 5

1hour 15 mins.  I was pretty tired.

Thinking of doing a big swimming session today, my leg seems so much better but I still feel it a bit, and its really hard to stretch out, so I am just stretching little bits but lots of times.

 Swim Session

1 hour, 103 laps I did mostly just one pace laps, then last 10, 2 laps hard 2 laps easy.

5mins break then 1 fully 25 metres under water turn and hard back. I do like swimming but hate using it as my main fitness :(  just one more day to find out what I have done to my leg :)

Good work! The good thing about the cross trainer is it doesn't have the impact of the treadmill so you can do interval training all the time to keep your heart rate up

Chris, yeah I would love to do intervals all the time, but just couldnt manage much more this morning, I was planning on 1hr 30 mins, but quit with 15 mins left, although I am not a morning person.

Yeah My heart rate is low on the xtrainer, and the inervals certainly get it going, but not like running, my legs give in before my heart and lungs do :)

Funny story. Hope you keep those sweat levels up.

I think we need a sweat chart for the xtrainer...

THe bike and treadmill are covered but there is a gap!

LOL chris, yep the xtrainer in the gym with no air con is pretty bad too about as bad as the treadmill, but hey I am a die hard athlete whom loves to train hard :)
