Just graduated from Lehi High School and am headed down to SUU this fall. Besides running I also love hiking, boating, paddleboarding, the beach, the sun, the summer, basically anything warm :)

Headed to the Provo river trail with Guppy, Collin, and Ryan. It was super pretty and fantastic. Saw a snake and pretty much almost died. Terrifying. Chilled while Ryan finished up his miles then cruised over to Ryan's for some nectarines and quality grilled cheese. Played a game of ping pong, I guess I.better get to work on Ryan's grass bracelet...

Half mile warm up on the turf then 2×(200,800,400,200,200,200) 2's at 800pace, 8 at 2mile pace, and 4 at mile pace. 90sec between everything and 4min rest between sets. Splits were 35, 2:55, 80, 37, 35, 36, second set 37, 3:05, 85, 37, 37, 36. First set felt good, second set I really struggled. Mentally I just wasn't there. Also a bit dehydrated and my stomach was bugging me. Really hurt after the workout. Half mile cool down on the turf. Nice job to everyone today.

Easy distance plus two buildups. Pretty tired today so me and Gups kept it slow. Found a flower and put it in my hair so you could say I was lookin pretty cute ;) lol.

​Went up to BYU and watched the two mile and some lightning. Went two with Collin then had some tasty Chipotle. Got back to the high school and did pre meet. Ice-bathed and carb loaded hard.

Got to the meet and got ready to warm up. The weather was pretty nice, a bit chilly but not bad. Warmed up and stretched then headed to the bull pen. Found out I left one of my spikes (the whole shoe) at home. Slightly panicked and ran back to the team tent, thankfully Jamie had an extra pair and they fit. Was in the bull pen for a while, they finally took us out on the track. Got in a few strides, the shoes felt different but they weren't bad. Lined up then we started, I got out in pretty good position. Middle of the pack which was perfect. Don't remember too much about the first lap, but by the second I was up behind the leaders. Just hung on to them but we came through the 800 too slow. I picked it up for like the next 200 and then died hard. Going into the final lap I just felt sluggish and totally unfocused, also my stomach was hurting pretty bad which was weird. Next 300 was pretty rough, got passed quite a bit and had like zero motivation. Last 100 I told myself that a bad race doesn't have to mean a bad finish, so I pushed as hard as I could and pulled out a pretty good kick and passed quite a few girls, that last bit definitely saved my time. Time wise it's a season pr by two seconds, but overall that was the worst I've ever felt racing the mile so I'm not super happy with it. But the first two and a half laps were really good so that's a positive. Shoutout to Zack because I met him today, and to Jamie for coming in clutch with the extra spikes! And of course huge shoutout to everyone who qualified for state today!!!

Pre meet, a couple minutes of abs then a chilly ice bath with Gan in the creek by the spring. Thankfully we didn't get swept away by the current but there were a few close calls lol. Tasty team dinner thanks to the team moms as always. Shout out to the captains for their inspiring words. Ready to kill it at region.

Got to the meet and played some cards. Warmed up then headed to the check in area. Got on the line, me and Mario were in the same heat. Went off and I got a really good start right up near the front. Felt good but about 200m in my legs started to get real heavy and they were like that for pretty much the whole race. Pushed really hard to keep up with the leaders but I still fell off, threw in some surges but I'm not sure how much good that did. Last lap gave it all I had and had a good finish. It was definitely a solid race and I was really focused and into it the whole time so I'm happy. Also the weather was fantastic which is always a plus. Afterwards took a supercold ice bath and ate my weight in pasta. Kept the mileage extra super low to rest up my legs for the 3200 so we'll see how that goes.

Got to the meet and and hung around for a while. Warmed up, was feeling pretty good definitely a little tired from yesterday. Jamie got me and Kaylee bumped up to the faster heat, which was good but also nerve wracking. Started out good, it was me Gan Watson and Kaylee in a pack. Then Gan and Watson pulled ahead during I think the third lap. After that it was pretty much just me and Kaylee. We took turns kind of trying to push the pace which was good. Seventh lap Kaylee started to pull ahead. I tried to go with but was a few paces behind. Last lap I saw these two girls dying and decided I needed to try and outkick them, which I did so I'm pretty proud of my finish :) Overall a pretty solid race, I really enjoyed it even though it was pretty tough. Good way to finish out my last season, can't believe it's over. This season has definitely not been what I was hoping for, but some positives are that I haven't been injured for an entire year, I've still improved time wise and mentally, and it's been a blast! Shout out to everyone on the team who has made this a great year, love you guys!

Warmed up a mile then helped Mario with her speed, she had 3×200, 100m jog, 100m all out but I just did the 200s. Hit 32/33s for all of them. Legs still feel wrecked. Shout out to Jamie because she can turn water into chocolate milk lol. And to Mama Hinkley cuz she made us a killer breakfast and to the weather cuz it's great :)

Ran the 4×800 at JV Region. We were the only girl team so we basically took first lol except we raced with the boys which was interesting. Don't really know my split but it was pretty much way fun. Shout out to all the racers today nice job guys!

Gonna take a week of cross training so today I hit the pool. 100free 10×(50 swim shallow jog deep) 4×(50kick 25lung buster 25breaststroke). Went to the Provo City Center temple. If you get the chance to go you should cuz it's beautiful!

Went and watched state, nice job to everyone who raced! Did a workout video called Yoga Inferno, it sounds lame but it was actually pretty intense. I'll probably do it again sometime.

Watched the 2mile at state, shout out to all those who ran and killed it, especially my teammates :) swam the 500m and practiced skills at the ODP today, pretty much froze to death. 45min on the elliptical.

Warmed up .5 at the groval then did 3×(2 60sec sprints) up Airport, rest was just the jog back down, between sets did a lap around the groval. Wasn't too horrible but it's been a while since I've done hills so the legs are feeling pretty wrecked rn. Had my first shift of the summer at the ODP which was a blast #workfamily and hiked Squaw Peak with the crew which was super pretty so that's a win.
