8 miles on murdock canal trail with Janae, 8:31 pace.  I am so glad Janae was willing to run slow with me today.  I fell backwards on my tailbone really hard classic skating Sat night and it is pathetic how much pain I am in. :(  I feel like I'm being a big baby but holy crap it hurts.  I'm such an idiot!

8 mile orchard loop with Julia.  I did not look at the pace but I think it took like 1:07.  Beautiful morning!

My legs feel fantastic but my back is so so sore from my fall Sat.  I'm hoping I can shake this off and didn't do any major damage.

Planks/pushups

6 mi easy on Murdock canal trail with Janae, no watch.  Yet another perfect November morning!  I really found this article interesting about Warming up for a race.  It sure puts my 10 min jog and chit chat with other runner friends routine to shame.  Definitely an area I could work on improving in 2014.

"I have found that it is best to start a race feeling overly warmed up rather than not warm enough.  Although it may seem like a lot of pre-race work, the benefit of strides and dynamic drills will become evident in the first mile of the race when what once felt like a shock to the body becomes a comfortable pace relative to the explosive, fast-twitch dynamic drills and strides."

12 lovely miles in Provo Canyon with the JJJ's Janice, Janae, & Julia. 8:05 pace.  It was a really pretty morning in the canyon with the fog.  This lazy running plan I'm on is so nice and enjoyable.  I may never attempt to run fast ever again!

I'm kind of a bi-polar runner....yesterday I wanted to retire and hangup the racing flats and today I decided to do a workout.  Oh well...whatever floats my boat.  I pulled the "wuss out" card because it was crazy windy at my house and I did not feel like fighting it.  I'm a baby.

Treadmill 8 miles:  2 mile wu, 18 x 1 min on/off.  5 @ 6:00 pace, 5 @ 5:56 pace, 5 @ 5:53 pace, 3 @ 5:49-5:45 pace.  Recovery min @ 8:34 pace.  cooldown.  The end.  Not nearly as boring as running at a flat pace would be.
