The interstitial tears
in my Achilles tendon seem to be healing, but it is a slow process and takes a fair
amount of time. I went in to the doctor again
just this last Friday and we could see on ultrasound imaging that the tears are
getting smaller, but I still have a bunch and still need a bunch of the stem
cells from the injected fat to turn into new tendon. The goal is to get me as close to normal as
possible so I can return to running. I am
scheduled for my third injection series in August (Hopefully my last -- although I keep saying that).
I had already written off this entire year. Hopefully I will be back at it next year.
