do you remember how Kirk finally beat him with brain power-by making a makeshift gun using sulfur, charcoal, maybe some phosphorus, I can't remember, packed into a bamboo tube with rock salt as the projectile. It was cool how Spock was watching from the enterprise and had already figured out how Kirk needed to beat him but couldn't help since it was a "contest" put on by some evil dude. I remember all this from watching it when I was maybe 10 years old. Great stuff. And then Kirk showed mercy at the end too. what a guy. always a great moral in Star trek.

My kids are way into Star Trek (all the different series) these days, always looking forward to new DVDs from Blockbuster in the mail.
