I had 6 easy miles scheduled for today, but since I felt so tired all day yesterday I decided to take my first non-Sunday rest day since Painters today. I decided I would take today off when I kept falling asleep in a Welfare Training Mtg. last night. I'm thinking about cutting my scheduled 13 miler tomorrow back to 6 miles as well.

Smart choice. At this point in training it us just about letting your body recharge.

Yes that is a very good idea... sleep is a big part of training make sure you are getting enough of it.

What is your calling? I thought you were in Young Mens.

Rest Rhett. Every-other-day from now until Boston works for me..but I'm much older than you.

I'm learning so much from you guys. I don't know how to rest.

Kathie, I'm High Priest group leader. It's definitely an interesting calling since all those I have stewardship over are on average about 30 years older than I am, but it has been a good experience. I have done the YM thing though. My wife is currently with the YW.

I know how to rest, but I can't. I hope you start feeling refreshed, Rhett. That's really cool about Kenya!!! I read it on the forum.

Wow you are a High Priest? You must have been in a bishopric right or are you just that wise?

From Rhett on Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 11:15:45 from 170.215.58.122

Kathie, I am wise beyond my years. LOL

No, I was in the bishopric and have been a HP for 9 years now. Before my current calling I was on the High Council. Now that is a great calling. People think you have to do a lot but if you don't mind talking in church once a month, it's great.

From Smooth on Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 21:01:06 from 70.56.102.54

Don't let the secret out. Now they're gonna call you to be the bishop.

From MarcE on Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 22:03:13 from 206.225.68.108

I bet you're one of the fastest High Priests alive! :)

From Rhett on Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 22:33:57 from 216.67.216.116

Marc, I probably am. I'd be willing to wager that I a race of High Priest group leaders around the world, I'd finish near the very top. Fortunately for them they would probably all school me in a contest of gospel knowledge and other things that are way more important than speed.

How can you not fall asleep in welfare training?

I've had to teach twice in group. Talk about intimidating. I flat out told them that I wasn't there to teach, but rather lead a discussion. LOL!
