Another pristine morning in Lake Havasu City... 15.5 mile bike ride... average speed 19.0 mph.

After work today will be track work and my last quality run before the half marathon this Saturday.  The farthest I have run this year is 12.5 miles and that was back in January.  Saturday could be interesting.

PM at the track

1 mile warm up

5 x 400m at 5K pace with 200m jog recovery:  1:29, 1:29, 1:29, 1:27, 1:26

Cool down

4 miles total. I felt very tired the whole time.

You always seem to turn on the magic when it comes to the Havasu Half!

your fitness seems to be pretty high with all the biking and swimming, so it is just a matter of the legs holding up to the pounding.

Burt, I'm going to need magic to have a good race.

Tim, I really feel like my fitness is about as good as it has ever been, I just don't know if my legs will hold up for the whole race. I guess I'll find out on Saturday.

I'm sure you will do well - what is your goal?

From Rhett on Tue, Apr 10, 2012 at 11:57:57 from 170.215.58.122

I don't really have one. I'm just going to see how I feel. I guess 1:30 would be about the fastest I could run it with my current running training level, so I'll probably start out around that pace (6:52) and go from there.

sounds like a good plan - it will really show you where your fitness is at this point.
