8 slow miles on the trails on the backside of the little mountains so I could be mostly in the shade as the sun was coming up. I turned around down by a pretty little cove on the lake but stopped and enjoyed the view for about 5 minutes before heading back.

Hey Slick, how have you been? How'd the GreenBay Marathon go? I hope to get back to that sub 3 again, but as time moves on it is looking less and less likely. My plan is to run a lot of slow miles to build my aerobic base and then squeeze in a few faster miles for a small period before a marathon and then hope to stay injury free and have perfect weather conditions on a race day. It's going to take everything coming together perfectly to get back under 3. My next marathon won't be until Boston and that is my PR course, but I would have a better chance at a race like Mt. Charleston. Maybe I will run Boston as a training run and then turn around and run Mt. Charleston 12 days latter and go for that sub 3 again next year. In the mean time I'm training for some 50 mile trail runs.
