It's been a busy week getting back from my mini vacation in Pocatello.  My leg feels better than it has in a long time, although last night at soccer practice I ran a bit setting up cones for drills and it still hurt some to run.  I was so hoping that I would be able to run without any pain since the bone is almost pain free to the touch since Teena taped it up.

it is such a tough call when to say it is ready to go

Way to go, coach!

Keep taping and xtrain. You're there! You'll be running just in time with the change of cooler temp!

So how are those legs going to act on October 2nd?????

You have plenty of time until your next race, cross train and heal! Boston is your next race right?

From Rhett on Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 16:27:47 from 184.10.154.226

Tom, I'll be kicking back getting ready for my trip to Orlando Oct. 2. I didn't get drawn for SGM this year, and my leg wouldn't be ready for it anyways.

Kathie, yes. My next marathon will be Boston, but I don't think I will race it. I'm going to try and PR Utah Valley next year. That will be my next fast marathon. Lots of time to heal.

How's the ol' leg feeling now that a few days have passed?

From Rhett on Tue, Sep 14, 2010 at 14:47:24 from 184.10.154.226

Dale, my leg really feels pretty good. I have to press pretty hard on my leg to feel the tender spot and I am having no pain with walking even down stairs. That is a first in a long time. I jogged a tiny bit at soccer practice last night, just picking up cones and it felt a lot better than it did last week as practice, but still some discomfort. I bet your sorrry you asked. I should have just put "Fine".

Glad to hear it's feeling better. You have been very patient
