It's way easier to keep the HR down running on the roads than it is on the trails...not nearly as fun though.

Rhett what you considered a good number of miles for a not very good or a rookie biker to call a good workout. please advise I got the kids new bikes and we are always out on the road now. I have to ask I Just run as well lol.thanks

Yasir, If I were taking my kids with me I would start off with 3 to 4 miles and see how it goes. Most importantly, make it fun for them.
Teena, I'm sticking to the MAF HR plan, but so far have seen no improvements. I do feel really healthy though!
