Track work this morning.  It was 82 when I left the house at 5 am and 88 by the time I got home.  I may have to do my last couple weeks of  UVM training on the TM due to the heat.

After a little over 2 miles of warm up, I attempted 6 x 1 mile with 800 m recovery. (6:11, 6:09, 6:09, 6:10, [then I fell apart] 6:47, 6:50).  I finished with a mile cool down.  Those last two miles were brutal, but they were still a bit faster than my current half marathon pace so I'll take them.  I sure hope it is a nice cold day at UVM.

Total run 12 miles

WOW!!! SO SPEEDY AWESOME mile repeats and in brutal heat!

UVM starts early so it will not be anywhere near that temp even if it's a hot day.

One more week of hard work then it's taper time right? You're doing AWESOME! SOLID training!

Thanks Dale, Tim, and Smooth. This is my last hard week then nice easy taper for 2 weeks and then see how I do.
