Ran a nice easy recovery run this morning.  I thought about doing 6 miles, but the calfs were still a bit too sore so I cut it to 4 miles.  All other muscles felt perfect.

I told myself that whatever you ran today I would try tomorrow. I am glad you did 4, that is doable. I was afraid you might do 30 "just to see if you could!"

Glad you cut it back to 4 miles. 7:37 is recovery pace, huh? Wow!!!

Sounds like you are healing up nicely.

Kathie, you make me laugh. I'm going to stay in recovery mode until the legs feel 100% so that I don't screw up UVM.

Dale, I felt like I was running so slow, but was suprised at how fast I was actually running. I guess after averaging about 6:40 for the fist 20 miles just a few days ago, my body reset what felt slow.

Mack, Yep I'm hoping to be back to normal training by Monday, but only if everything feels perfect.

Sounds like you're recovering nicely. I think if all is well, I'm going to give 3:15 a try at UVM. Time to do a little rampup before the next taper.

From Rhett on Sat, Apr 24, 2010 at 11:54:12 from 74.32.222.202

Marc, you totally can go 3:15 on that course. It looks blazing fast. My plan is to run 6:30 pace (2:50) for as long as I can. I'm just curious how long I can hang onto that pace. I'm guessing about 20 miles. Then I plan on training hard and hopfully hitting that 2:50 at SGM. I think a 2:50 would get me in corral #1 and running with the Kenyans... for a few yards.

I love that 7:37 is a recovery run for you and a totally ticked off, mad at the world, frustration run for me. Hmmmm....one day I hope to be as speedy as you. Actually, I don;t. That hurts too much.

Glad all is going well!! Keeping my fingers crossed that you two get into St George, i think your wife would love it!
