What a beautiful day for speed work at the track!!!  It was 60 degrees with no wind.

2+ mile warm up on the roads.

8 x 150m In/Out sprints with 250m slow recovery jog.  The all out 50m sprint in the middle of the 150m felt much smoother and faster this week.

4 x 1 mile with 400m walk recoverys. Splits as follows: 5:52 (this felt slow after those sprints), 5:57, 5:56, 6:02 (my legs started tying up right at the beginning of this mile.)

3+ mile cool down on the roads.

Total run 13 miles, 1:45:59

Nicely done.

Great blog picture!!! Do you run like that often? Or only at Boston? :)

Nice work, Rhett!!!

It's so weird. When you first posted that new picture, it was crystal clear. Then when I checked it again later, it was all blurry.

LOVE that you got the flying picture on there. To have that much energy at the end of a SUPER marathon---GREAT! I am excited to see how you do at UVM. While I opted not to run it, I think I may do what I did last year and come down to the finish line and run in as many runners as possible (I think I got 16 miles that way last year). We will see what the day holds....but you will do great.

Nice workouts this week. I think I see a Rhett workout in my future.
