Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras. Short-Term Running Goals: Consistent aerobic and some easy strength training. Long-Term Running Goals: Participate in races. Personal: I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties. Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation. It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again. Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness and life. |

| Morning run outside in the rain. Felt hard the whole time. Mentally I'm still off from daughter's emergency on Sunday, but I think legs also felt flat because of calf raises I did a couple days ago.

| I haven't completed a race in nearly 10 years so toeing the line and getting it done was an accomplishment just itself. My goal was to run under 1:50 so stuck with that pace group and then ran the last mile as hard as possible. Didn't check my watch at all and it definitely felt better not doing so. It was a beautiful day.
