BF canyon freedom run. nice day with a decent canyon wind. Warmed up and chatted a bit with bloggers Conner (who won overall) and Rob (thanks for taking my shirt to the finish line!).

I caught up to Keith A  at mile one and managed to hang with him until the top of the big hill where his superior fitness won out and he dropped me beating me by about twenty seconds. He actually won our age group (50-54) but also got men's masters so I got men's 50-54.  I also got a freedom run PR at age 50 by twenty seconds. I was happy with that. good race. well done Cache Sun and Snow as always.

  5:52, 5:59, 5:54, 6:06, 6:01, 6:05, 6:24, 6:29, 6:11, 5:46 for 0.32 miles.

Congrats on the PR! That's crazy fast! This is the first year I haven't made that race in about in about 6 years. I'd have probably been lucky to break an hour though this year anyway. That dang Kieth. Sounds like it was close.

Nice job Scott! I bet that feels good to have a great race. Way to represent the old folks!

Nice race! Looks like you're getting into shape quickly. You should be ready to rock the Madison Mini in a little over a month.

thanks for the kind comments guys, it was good to get some confidence back in this race. Erik, I am looking forward to the mini, will be in touch as we get closer. Cody, come visit me down at sunshine terrace when you run by it. we old folks always enjoy the company you know. JD, you will be blowing by me in no time. Dave, I think Keith is and will always be too fast for me but I am always happy when he is there to push me, it makes it all the funner.
