just a short five finger run around zollingers park.

my biggest concern now is the monster blisters on the bottom of my feet, in particular the big toe and sole of my right foot. The newest one blew open this morning, inevitable. Got em at stupid DN 10K, and they just keep getting worse. probably exacerbated by all the speedwork I am doing in minimal shoes and downhill running.

Yeah, the downhill could definitely make it worse. I can't believe you've been fighting a blister for a month- maybe just pop it?

sno- great idea on the moleskin, I wish I had thought of that before the DN 10K :-) I have been putting moleskin on off and on, it certainly helps, and probably could have prevented my problems in the first place. I forgot yesterday, dumb.

Jon, its actually a family of blisters, the older ones getting callused, but the new big one popped today on its own, and that relieved the pressure. I've always been prone to blisters on the bottoms of my feet so I guess I will survive. Kind of worried about the TOU half downhills now though, but not much that can be done except wear moleskin and keep em from getting infected I guess. Are you going to be back by next saturday?

I'm flying home tonight. And I have 2 words for you on blisters: Drymax Socks. Look into them.

will do, I use smart wool right now, but have heard drymax are awesome.

I won't be running with your group tomorrow but maybe another time. Havent built the miles yet and cant handle the downhill in BF. I will just try to put in 13-14 as a last ditch effort to get ready for the half. good to have you coming back, I am sure the family will be happy!
