trying to assess my options for running today...bad air quality... drizzly rain but no wind.... no time to go anywhere out of the inversion....  we need a 6-7 mph wind for one hour  to clear the air... will it come? the weather forecast is not clear... is the air indoor better than outdoors? I guess I can run the indoor track if I have to... but I really doubt the air in there is any better than outside.... well, I will grade enzymology exams for a couple hours and see what shakes out..

OK, ran the indoor track, maybe the air is better in there, who knows? one mile warmup, 5  miles at 6:26, one mile cooldown.

I wanted a longer tempo today but that will have to do. just praying for the next storm to come and blow out the pollution for a few days.

My dilemma too - I've watched the PM2.5 climb from 45 to 51.9 while SLC is at 4.5 - yes 4.5.

If I miss today I've awarded myself a 10 mile deficit that has to be made up over the next 5 days :-) I can't stand running indoors.

I bit the bullet and ran inside. But I really doubt the air is any better in there. But what can we do??? AUUUUGGHHHH

Not much...

I'm still debating. If I can run every remaining day this week I can meet my mileage target but I'll need to push the 8 milers to 10. The air quality has actually become worse over the past hour despite the drizzle.

Great, they just revised the forecast - red alerts through wednesday. This is truly abysmal.
