Kym and I had a nice motorcycle ride to Anacortes on Saturday afternoon where we stayed with our friends Liz and Mike. I ran 6 miles on Tommy Thompson Trail first thing in the morning and ran a nice progressive pace from start to finish. My quads were still barking at me, but I think they will adjust if I keep at it. After my run we rode further north to Bellingham where Kym taught a workshop on handling challenging kids in Sunday School. On the way home we took the long way down Chuckanut Drive and then stopped in Lynwood for dinner with another friend Christina who made us an awesome spicy vegitarian meal! What a great weekend!

My quads are feeling much better today. Ran 6 easy miles down by the water this morning. The first couple miles were downhill.

Kym and I tried to run on the track this morning, but it was closed and so was the one at the next closest high school. We ended up coming home and running 3 hilly miles around the neighborhood. My legs are still sore and I'm a little discouraged about my marathon plans for this year. I want to run hard and my legs are just not ready :(
