No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

I ran at a comfortable pace this morning and never looked at my watch until I finished. I also finally got around to putting a new battery in my mp3 player so I was able to listen to the book of Acts during my run. It was raining just enough to keep me cool and I felt great all the way through. I didn't expect to feel so great after yesterday's race. I can't wait until I'm able to feel that good running my marathon pace.

ugh! I thought I had seen the last of my 8:00+ pace. I was really nauseous this morning, but too stubborn to take the day off. I suffered through the first couple miles and eventually felt a little better. I should probably just go back to bed, but I have a lot of stuff to get done at work.

I took my own advice and went back to bed instead of work after yesterday's run. I feel better today, but still not 100%. I did my 8 in the sideways rain this morning.

My run was a little easier this morning, but i'm still coughing. If I'm not better tomorrow I'm going to the doc.

There's that 8 min pace agian :(  I'm still coughing a bit and it was extremely icy out this morning so I guess I have two excuses today. I think I used some new muscles running slow and keeping my balance on the ice. I'm not getting much faster, but I am gaining strength and I'm getting used to the daily 8 miles. I'm ready for a day off, and still looking forward to my long run on Saturday.

Great run this morning! I went to the doc yesterday and got some meds for my cough which is still nagging me a bit, but I was able to keep up with Preston today and we even did an extra loop around the park. My only complaint was the cold; my gloves weren't warm enough and I was sure I'd have the hand version of Mr. Deeds' blackfoot by the time I got home. The last two miles were under a 7 min pace which I think helped to finally warm up my left hand. My right hand is still cold as I write this. I'll post some pictures if it actually turns black :)
