No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

I only had an hour to run and shower at the Y while Kym was at the doc today. I decided to run 5 under 7 which was pretty easy on the cushy, padded, indoor track. It was nice and warm inside too :)

Superman!

From rattletrap on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 16:16:54 from 24.19.93.139

Not quite superman, but the padded track felt so springy I might have been able to leap a small building in a single bound :)

I also listened to the first 8 chapters of Isaiah. Maybe that helped? I want to try and finish it on my long run Sunday.

From rattletrap on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 16:26:33 from 24.19.93.139

Well, I probably won't finish Isaiah since the rest of the book is 3.4 hours long. I'll try to make it to chapter 40:31, that's only an hour and 49 minutes from where I left off.

From Burt on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 16:42:14 from 12.231.112.98

Yeah. Isaiah's pretty long. Plus you have to listen to it 1325 times to understand it.

Is this the bible on tape/ipod?

From rattletrap on Sat, Dec 05, 2009 at 10:37:11 from 24.19.93.139

It's an MP3 version of the NIV read by Max Mclean.

He has a very cool accent and I never get tired of listening.

I wanted to try to get a sample of his voice so see if it woudl annoy me to listen to it for 77 hours! It sounds like a good idea though!

From rattletrap on Sat, Dec 05, 2009 at 18:51:37 from 24.19.93.139

On the main page there's a daily Proverb and a sample from Ephesians in the right hand column.

I have a friend that said she would borrow it to me. I think she has the ESV version though
