Ran with Preston this morning. I thought it would be a nice slow run... Obviously it didn't turn out that way. I'm still not sure if he was trying to break me or just seeing if it was realistic for me to be thinking about CIM :) Both my calves are pretty sore, but my right leg is fine otherwise. I think I'll take tomorrow off and get back out there on Tuesday. I'd like to get in 4 or 5 days this week even if they are short ones.

nice job! CIM is definitely realistic to be thinking about. you'll kill it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'd be happy if I could just slap it around a little instead of killing it :) My goal of qualifying with the young bucks at 3:10 has now been adjusted to the bare minimum of 3:20:59.

I'm just glad that you can still think about CIM. I think you did it smart and quit while you were ahead...now you are getting better and you can run a 10 miler again! that is awesome! I'm very jealous of your pace!

From rattletrap on Sun, Oct 04, 2009 at 21:17:33 from 24.19.93.139

Don't be too jealous of that pace april27, it did not come easy. There was literally no conversation for the last few miles. I still have a ton of work to do before I can expect to maintain anything close to that speed for 26.2 miles :) Hopefully Preston will keep dragging me along on Saturday mornings until I can actually keep up. Dec. 6th is not that far away.

Those are some great splits Mike.

I'm sure Preston will make it his personal business to drag you on on runs!
