Does listening to Romans make you fast? It seems to with you. If so, I'll start listening. And if Romans makes you fast, what does Isaiah make you? I would think very very slow. Or confused. Great run today.

Look at those splits. That's the Rattletrap of old. The old Rattletrap listening to the New Testament.

I'll switch to Isaiah on Friday and let you know :) My bible study group is in Isaiah right now anyway so it seems appropriate.

"...they shall run and not be weary..." - IS 40:31. I'm feeling good about this already :)

VERY NICE!!!! Lookin' good and strong. You sure got that speed back fast!

Have a great rest of the week and weekend! I guess there are no fun motor cycle trips anytime soon, huh? Even in Utah, I still see guys out there riding those things in the freezing cold, they are crazy!

From rattletrap on Thu, Dec 03, 2009 at 01:50:06 from 24.19.93.139

Yep I'm getting the speed back, but I'm still grasping for some endurance.

Actually, we've been pretty busy with biker stuff lately. We just did the annual Thanksgiving ride for the BASH Foodbank and this Saturday is the second biggest biker event in the state, The Olympia Toy Run. It's a police escorted biker parade across town. Last year over 10,000 bikers showed up with toys for the Salvation Army. This is a pic I took from the roof of the mall where it starts last year:

Earlier tonight my CMA group volunteered directing traffic at the Candlelight Prayer Vigil for the 4 Lakewood Police officer's that were shot and killed this week.

Okay, that police shooting is so sad and upsetting. Things like that are the reason I do not watch the news.

So, how does one bundle up to ride in the cold weather?? Sounds like you do have some cool stuff going on, little did I know that biking never stops.

From rattletrap on Thu, Dec 03, 2009 at 11:00:07 from 70.192.152.11

Yes, it's very sad and upsetting, especially when it happens so close to home.

Keeping warm on the bike is all about layers unless you have lots of money to buy electric heated clothing. I'm not one of those fortunate ones :)

From Kelli on Thu, Dec 03, 2009 at 14:35:32 from 71.219.71.229

My husband has been working an a talk/speech the last two days. They are having a fallen officers memorial and this last episode really has him upset. So very sad.

Is there really such things as heated clothing?? I need some for running!

From april27 on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 11:23:50 from 99.188.251.180

Kelli I don't know electric heated clothing but I do own two Mizuno Breath Thermo shirts. They react with your sweat and make it nice and warm. They are a smidge to warm for me in anything above 30 but if it is windy I will still wear it...they have pants too (but I don't have those) and I think they even have sports bras, gloves, hats etc...

From Kelli on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 12:16:48 from 71.219.71.229

I want the gloves!!!

From rattletrap on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 12:47:07 from 70.193.239.185

I have the mizuno breathe gloves and they ROCK! I paid $16 for them on amazon.com and they're worth every penny.

From rattletrap on Fri, Dec 04, 2009 at 16:39:31 from 24.19.93.139

If you don't mind carrying a motorcycle battery with you, these clothes will definitely keep you warm :)

What is one more thing to carry, right????

Aside from my face, my fingers are the coldest things when I run and the last to warm up. I need to get better gloves!
