I slept in this morning. I was dreading the heavy rain forecast for today and it turned out be a light mist. I like running in that kind of rain; nice and cool. I ran the hills a little harder than usual today and tried to take it easier on the flats.

We got your rain, I got new blisters. Lovely.

You took it easy on the hills? Not at that pace buddy!

Oh, and thanks for sleeping in so i do not feel like a slacker.

Sorry about your rain and the new blisters. Bodyglide makes this new stuff called "liquid powder"; I've been using it on my feet and toes where I tend to get blisters and haven't got any new ones.

I didn't take it easy on the hills today, I worked harder on them and took it easy on the flats :)

I've also been using the "stick" on my arch and it's all better now. Maybe you should try that too.

I seriously should not read blogs when I am sleep deprived. Still, your "easy" on the flats is my HARD if that was your average pace.

I bought some of that stuff at the running store yesterday. I am going to try it out. I have never had such issues with my feet!!!

You'll love that stuff!

Yep, that was my average pace for the whole run. My overall average for this week is 7:38 which happens to be my goal marathon pace :) SportTracks gives me all these stats by day, week and month. Have you got that set up on your PC yet? I hope your feet are better tomorrow. I'm going to take the day off.

From Kelli on Thu, Apr 09, 2009 at 18:06:51 from 71.219.84.191

No, I do not have it set up YET. I am actually in the process of switching over my PC, so once that is done I will download it. It sounds very cool. I first need to get a new Garmin that will let me use the MODE button so I will know my average pace. The only time I know is when I run an entire run with another person with a functioning Garmin.

I do know this, you are fast. You IMPRESS me big time. I look forward to bringing you cookies in Boston next year. YOU WILL BE THERE. I can not imagine running an entire marathon faster than my 1/2 marathon pace. WOW.

From rattletrap on Thu, Apr 09, 2009 at 18:53:30 from 70.193.230.7

If you use SportTracks you won't need to use the mode button. You just plug your charging cradle into the pc and it imports all the data for you. I never try to sort through all those little menus on the watch.

Thanks for the compliments. Just 3 months ago I could not have run the first half of my 10 miler under 8:00 pace. This little community has been such a blessing to me. I owe a lot of thanks to Sasha and all the friendly runners here. THANKS! :) I'll be looking forward to those cookies too.

Cool, I can download something for free and keep my Garmin!
