12:00pm Ezra 7 - Nehemiah 8

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Run far, eat much and be thankful you can.

It's been two weeks since I jacked up my hammie, I couldn't walk straight for three days and didn't even think about running until today. I was not going to miss earning my turkey for the tenth consecutive year. It was a short run, but I got er dun. I actually felt pretty good until 2.5 miles when my hammie and my foot both started acting up so I turned around and headed for home. My foot eased up as I got closer to home, not so much for the hamstring.

I got two out of three...I ran short :-)

I'm looking forward to when you're healthy again!

Oh darn. I hope you heal up quick. You need some elliptical hell for active recovery :)

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Nov 25, 2012 at 22:13:34 from 24.19.80.36

Thanks. I'm looking forward to being healthy again too. Some elliptihell time would be great, but we dropped our Y membership a while ago. I would ride my bike if it didn't suck so much during the winter.

The pain in my hamstring is fading quicker than last time so I think it must be healing. It's also farther down my leg this time. I'm going to call that progress and try another short run in a day or so.

I decided to give it another 2 weeks after my TurkeyDay run. I'm going to try a 3 miler on Friday morning and see how it goes. Tacoma is coming fast. Has anybody seen a good "couch to 42k" program?

I'm counting down...

From Tom Slick on Thu, Dec 13, 2012 at 08:29:57 from 69.171.160.125

so hows the injuries progressing to good healthy running status? Are you going to make the Tacoma MAry?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Dec 13, 2012 at 08:36:26 from 174.233.131.126

My hamstring is almost better. I planned on running last friday, but decided to give it another week when I felt a twinge while chasing by grandson across the yard. Now I'm thinking about giving it yet another week just to be safe. I WILL finish Tacoma even if it isn't a PR effort :)
