64:00 minutes on the ellipitical, the first 30 minutes I took it pretty easy but then the last half I really pushed it. My average RPM was 95 or above for that stretch and it was kicking my butt! I sweat like a pig when I am on that thing, it is amazing... Leg felt pretty good a little pain at the start but hardly noticable after I got going and it feels pretty good right now, it being 4:00pm. My goal is keep this up for this week and then I am hoping I will be back to running next week, but that depends on how the recovery goes.

I appreciate all the encouragement I have recieved throughout the last week, it really helps to get me through the day and it helps with the motivation factor as well, Thanks!!!

I took it pretty east today on the glider as the last four days I have hit really hard so I went with 40 minutes today at an easy pace... I put down four miles as I feel this is what I earned this morning. I might on Saturday take my legs out for a little run on the road and see how they do but it wouldn't be for very far, but again that will depend on how it feels come Saturday...

PM- I decided to give my  leg a try and see how it is doing so I went 2 miles with my son, he is getting ready for fall soccer so we went for a run... Much to my displeasure my leg is not healing, infact it is roughly the same... I have taken almost 10 days off of no impact and cross- training and it doesn't seem to be getting any better, even though when I cross-train it doesn't hurt,  but it doesn't seem to be getting any better either. I am at a cross roads here and I don't know where to turn, my brother-in-law is going to get me an appointment with an orthopedic he knows real well to see if he can find anything, very discouraging. Man, I have come so far it is so hard to take... I don't know...

I was only able to do 35:00 minutes on the ellipitical today as my leg was very sore, not a good sign... I tested it last night for two miles and it has not healed at all, after 9 days of crosstraining I thought there would be some progress but it is very discouraging.... During the crosstraining it was not giving me any problems but it is not healing either, so that is not a good sign either.

I have until the 15th of September to cancel my rooms in St. George and get a full refund, so that is kind of my last chance so to speak whether I will be able to run the Marathon or not. I am thinking of suspending all training period to see if that will help with the healing process... I have come so far.  Man,  this is very disappointing and hard to take...

PM- I decided to try something this afternoon when running with my son, I ran at a much slower pace and my leg seemed to do alot better, we only went 2 miles but my leg has already recovered and is feeling pretty good... We averaged a 9:40 pace, I know it was slow but I was amazed that my leg did so much better. So I am going to try this tomorrow morning, a slower pace taking it easy and see how I do and see how I recover. I will then incorperate the ellipitical in with running to see if I can find a balance, and also heal along with that. I will also evaluate on a day to day basis to see where I can improve the formula atleast until I am fully healed... Hopefully I will not regret it down the road for this bold undertaking, wish me luck...

No running today. I am in my soft cast and boot for 5 days and then no running afetr that for another 7 days and then I will evaluate and see where my leg is. I am hoping that I will be able to resume my running and get back to it. I will be doing upper body training 3 to 4 times a week just to keep my from going insane...

Later...
